WIPEX Airlaid is a non-woven fabric.   It is significantly softer, bulkier, and more textile-like in hand feel compared to traditional paper napkins or towels.     Airlaid is essentially a performance-engineered hybrid between paper and cloth. It leverages the natural absorbency of wood pulp but structures and bonds it to achieve the softness, strength (especially when wet), and bulk of a textile. 

Pure paper is a classic, cost-effective material excellent for single-use absorbency where wet strength is not required. When you need a wipe or napkin that feels premium, doesn't fall apart in your hand, and manages liquids aggressively, you are likely using an airlaid product.
